A recap of last season. I posted plus money every week except for 2. Hopefully I can repeat that.

Week 0

UTEP/Jax State Over 53.5 4*



Last year Jax State averaged 36ppg in Rich Rods 1st season as the head coach. Utep allowed 37 ppg away from home last year. Utep put up 26ppg away last year vs Jax State allowing 23ppg. Jax State returns all 9 starters on offense and Utep 8, so I see no drop off. I think it gets into the 60s.

0-1 last week.... Struggled with the Jax State game. Wanted the side or the over. Of course I took the Over a loser.



214 North Texas +7

Nt brings in a quality QB from ULM. Threw for 66% and 26-10 TD to TO ratio. NT was + 12PPG ly vs Cal at -13PPG. Take the points...



219 South Alabama +7

USA has a quality QB who threw for 65% with a 28 to 12 TD to TO ratio. USA returns 18 starters. LY they were +6 PPG on the road. I think Tulane gets the win but not the cover.

North Texas is my 5*

Also the ppg stats are home vs away.



South Alabama is a 4* play.

144 UConn +15 3*

Jim Mora's 2nd year. He led them to their 1st bowl game since 2015 last year. They return 17 starters. The Huskies were +4 ppg at home vs NCST -7 ppg on the road. Should be enough to outrun the class difference.



175/176 ODU/VT under 50 3*

Neither team has a proven quality QB so I see a lot of running. The focus should be on the Defense and field position for both teams. This is also a revenge game for VT. Pry being a defensive minded coach will have the D playing hard. I have it in the low 40's.



187 Colorado 1st half +12 3*

I just have to believe in coach Prime. He may not have the depth to keep the Buffs in it for the entire game but he will have them jacked in the 1st half.



231 LSU -2.5 3*

LSU looked more like a Brian Kelly team each week last year. Revenge for last years opening week loss. Geaux Tigers!!!



236 Duke +13 3*

Duke was a much improved team last year under coach Elko. 9 wins was their best since 2013. They return 18 starters including a good QB in Leonard who threw for 64% and a 24-6 TD to TO ratio last year. Clemson returns 15 but is breaking in a new QB. I see Duke keeping it within the number.

Not the start that I hoped for. 3-4 -7.5* in week 1.



365 New Mexico State +10.5 4*

Jerry Kill enters his 2nd season back as head coach. Kill led them to their 1st bowl game since 2017 last year. They improved all year finishing 5 - 1 SUATS. They beat Liberty last year 49 to 14. They return 13 starters vs Liberty only 8 and they have to replace their HC.



382 Boise +3.5 4*

Boise as a HD.... It hasn't happened in 5 years for sure, and I can't remember the last time it did happen. Boise opened against a very explosive Washington team and kept it close for a while. UCF on the other hand played Kent State that has replaced not only most all of their starters but their coaching staff as well. This has created some good line value IMO.



342 UTSA -13 3*

Jeff Traylor has led UTSA to back to back 10 win seasons. The road runners return 8 starters on offense and defense so the team is still intact. They are led by QB Harris who threw for 70% and 32 -9 TD to TO ratio. They are coming off a very tough fought loss to Houston. Texas State has a new HC and they are returning only 11 starters. They have not had a winning record since the 2014 season. They also upset Baylor in week 1 creating another game with line value.



393 Auburn -6 3*

Auburn is a very hungry team and has always had plenty of talent. This year they bring in Head Coach Hugh Freeze the ATS covering machine. As for Cal they did win last week but were only 4-8 last year and are starting a new QB.



390 Florida State -16.5 1st half 3*

I admit that I was wrong on the Noles in week 1. What I saw Sunday night was the best team they have fielded in the last 20 years. Beating LSU and seeing Clemson look awful vs Duke has them thinking ACC title and National Playoffs. I think they start this one fast.

Eastern Michigan +21 -120 3*

Both teams finished last season at 9-4. Eastern was plus 5 ppg on the road. Give me the 3 scores head start.



314 UVA +3.5 1st half 3*

A few people tried to talk me out of this one. BUT.... I have always said that if you can find an emotional edge in college.... take it. Charlottesville will be very emotional at least early. They plan to have a tribute for the 3 that were senselessly killed at the end of last year. And you can't tell me that UVA can't get the better athletes over JMU in the state.

192 WVU pk 5*

WV head coach Neil Brown may be on the hottest seat in CFB. But this year he actually has the players to run his style of offense. The Mountaineers have a very veteran offensive line, are deep at running back and tight ends. Add in a mobile QB to that mix. They ran for 190 vs Pitt last year and averaged right at 200 ypg at home. This year’s team has a much better running attack. I was hoping for some points in this one but Pitt losing to Cincy last week ruined that.



139/140 C Mich/ND Over 51.5 4*

Hartmann at ND has been electric so far and I see no reason for that to slow down this week. If C Mich can score 14 the total should make it over.



149 Minnesota +7.5 4*

Going back to last year the Gophers have won 7 of their last 8 games. The bottom line is that I do not trust a Mack Brown led team to play enough defense to blow any P5 school out.



170 Michigan State +16 3*

Yes, I know that Tucker (dumbass) will not be on the sideline…. I also think we are getting a few points because of that. Washington has been explosive TY vs weaker teams than Mich State. They are facing their 1 P5 team and playing in their 1 road game.



164 Ohio State -29 3*

It is time for an offensive explosion. I think Day has really played pretty vanilla on offense so far and it is time to let it loose. They get WK at home and faced 2 P5 teams LY. They allowed 41 to Auburn and 33 to Indiana. They have also given up 20 plus to 2 very weak teams this year. This should be a route…



176 Florida +7 -125 3*

The Gators have won their last 9 home games vs Tennessee. LY Tennessee won 38 – 33 at home with a much more high-powered offense. The Vols have played 2 weak teams so far at home. Their 1 road game and their 1 SEC game. Take the points.



174 Toledo -6.5 -130 3*

Going back into LY San Jose is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games. They have allowed close to 500 YPG vs the 2 FBS teams they have faced TY. Toledo isn’t USC or Oregon State strong but at home they can be very explosive. LY, they averaged 41PPG at home, return 8 on offense including QB Finn a 2 team MAC player from LY.
