I think 1 post per day rule is not good rule.
I'm glad you brought that up so that I can address it yet again. It's done for good reason. People come here and sponge for free and add no value to the forum. They go to the Paid Professionals daily and NEVER would post. This is the way it USED to be until the rule came about. It came from forum members who were tired of buying and posting but not seeing the site get it's bang for it's buck. There are a lot of people that don't say anything publicly but chat with me privately about the inner workings. They care and I love that. Most have been with me since the start and some are newer in nature, they like me want the site to be bustling.
Would you want a member of your site doing that? You put in hours of work daily, you're paying for the software, the monthly bill to host the site, the domain name and other expenditures with NO RETURN?
You would be amazed at the number of people the posting czar removes their access and it's usually the same people over and over. How long would you continue to allow that? I've been doing this for TWENTY FOUR years, it gets old.
To ask people to make a post is day when visiting is NOTHING much to ask for but yet people still don't do it. When they lose access, guess who gets to approve their posts? You got it ME! I have way better things to do than approve people's post that can't follow an easy rule.
This goes back to the point, there is MORE to the forum than Paid Pro's area. You can take part in a conversation topic, you can give others encouragement for what they are doing in the forum expert area. There's a ton you can do, it doesn't have to be post a pick in this section because if people are going to post one just to post one, what the heck good is the pick?
Thanks for posting so I can expand on the lunacy of this. One final thing, I'm not trying to come off rude, mean or bitching, don't take it as such folks. It's just a reality.
