Army/Temple Under 46.5
Not a lot of action tonight in sports and I don't have a strong feeling either way about the spread in this game.
Everyone is backing Army to run roughshod over Temple and they very well might. It is a big spread for a running team.
Army really has not played anyone. The best team they've played is FAU who is 1-3 who only lost to Michigan State by 6 points but it was the first game of the season and Michigan State's program is kind of a mess since it's coaching departure. So losing by 6 in East Lansing in the first game of the season with a new head coach is not that impressive. Further, FAU just got smoked by UConn by 34 points.
Temple is no powerhouse by any means and their record reflects that but they did only lose to Coastal Carolina by 8 and just beat Utah State. If you look at their games it does appear they are getting better.
With this game being a home game for Temple and to have any possibility of winning, they'll need to keep it close which is why I like the under. Plus, Temple is coming off their best game with scoring 45 points, so they might be in for a letdown and if they do, Army will almost need to score every possession to get the over.
