San Diego St @ Boise St Under 57.5 (-110)

I feel confident this has the recipe for a solid under. So first off, the weather will be nasty for this game with rain and winds up to 13mph. It is a perfect set-up to support the run game, which, of course, is Boise St's bread and butter. However, looking at San Diego's defense; they only allow an average 5.2 yards per play; so I suspect them to be able to slow down an otherwise explosive Boise St offense.

San Diego St averages 18.5 points per game and most of their offense is through their pass game but I think the weather will keep their pass game in check and ought force short check downs and run plays, keeping huge chunk plays at bay.

Boise State will win this game but 24.5 points is a lot for them to cover. Everyone will be keying on Jeanty and Boise is going to keep feeding him the ball because he's awesome but also because they want him to get the Heisman. Boise is already bowl eligible and just needs to win from here on out. I'm sure Jeanty will go for over a hundred yards but it every game is going to get increasingly harder for him.
San Diego State is a team that is getting better but they are led by a freshman QB and a first-year coach so they've taken their time to gel. SDSU did just take 7-1 Washington State to the wire in a 29-26 loss and this is the most important game of the season for SDSU. Even against Cal who has been losing to really good teams by a point or two, SDSU only lost by 21.
With this being on national television, Boise is definitely going to want to showcase Jeanty and SDSU should know that and will be planning for it.
I think Boise State is going to have a difficult time getting up for this game and with SDSU planning all week for Jeanty, they should be able to slow the game down and SDSU will be able to sneak in the number.

Portland’s recent defensive improvement, including a stronger focus on defense (partly thanks to Danny), has set them apart from last season. The Thunder are a strong defensive team, making it hard for opponents to score and forcing plenty of turnovers.

Historically, these matchups have been mixed on going over or under the point line, but recently, both teams have leaned toward the under. This season, Oklahoma has gone over the line in only one out of four games, and Portland in two out of five. Portland’s overs included an opener against Golden State and a standout game against the Pelicans, unlikely to be repeated against Oklahoma’s solid defense.

Overall, I see a good chance for an under here.

Boise is a very good team but this seems like too many points. Boise is 2-6 at home in double revenge games. So, even through you think of the blue turf and a great runner in Jeanty the fact is this will be tough cover for Boise. Take SDST here.
