Trent Dilfer is 8-17, and that includes wins over Alcorn St, NC A&T, and a terrible Tulsa team. His defense was gutted by transfers and many of his offensive skill players are new. They put up 52 points on Alabama St, but also gave up 42 and 514 yards. Ala. St. averaged 5 yards a carry and gained 202 yards on the ground. Navy will absolutely have their way with them on the ground. Navy loses a couple of good defenders on defense, but mostly returns their team intact. QB Blake Horvath is one of a few academy QBs in recent memory that can pass effectively( 164.4 passing efficiency rating in 2024). Navy is at home in their 1st conference game. They went easy on VMI last week sometime in the 3rd quarter. Jalen Kitna is a pocket passer for UAB(almost no threat to run), who put up some decent yards last season in games UAB lost 71-20, 44-10, 53-18. Garbage time passing... don't be fooled
