Please stay active in the forums. If you stop by once a week to post your team, you may find your account in sleep mode. Avoid that by posting your daily best bet in the Bet the House forum or start a conversation/post some plays in any of the Sport specific forums. We welcome your voice!

NFL Survivor Pool with a Double Elimination

Rules

1. You pick 1 team to win each week straight up, no point spread

2. Once you use a team you can never use them again (Win or Lose)

3. If your team loses or the game ends in a tie, you receive a strike

4. When you receive 2 strikes, you are eliminated

5. If a game is canceled or suspended you receive a loss and a strike if it is not finished in the week it is chosen. If a game is moved from Sunday to Monday or Tuesday and completed you will receive credit for it. If it is not finished until a later week, you will not get credit

6. Deadline to enter picks each week is 11:00 AM est. on Sunday. No picks for any games will be accepted after this time. It is a hard deadline so 11:01 and the pick will not count. If you fail to get a pick in you will receive a strike. There are 5 international games that start at 9:30 AM est. this season. If you use any of those games you must have your pick posted no later than 9:00 AM est. That means 9:01 is too late

7. Deadline for Thursday games is 6:00 PM est. on Thursday. No picks for Thursday games will be accepted after that time

8. Deadline for Thanksgiving day is 11:00 AM est. and no picks will be accepted after that time for any games on Thanksgiving day

9. Deadline for Saturday games is 3:00 PM est. and no picks for any Saturday games will be accepted after that time

10. Tiebreaker - If multiple people remain after week 18 we will start a 4 week postseason survivor. All of your teams will be reset but any strikes you have earned will carry over. If you have no team available in the Super Bowl because you already used both of them, you will receive a strike. If there are still multiple people remaining after the Super Bowl the gift card will be split by those remaining. It will be split equally by all who are still alive. That includes those with zero or one strike. I think there is zero chance of this happening but if it does, that is how it will play out

11. I will post a weekly thread on Tuesday or Wednesday and you will enter your pick each week in those threads by the deadlines mentioned above

12. You get one pick each week and it is final when it is posted. You will not be allowed to change it based on injuries, weather or anything else. You are locked in to that team

13. Losses will be highlighted in red. Please pay attention to your teams because if you pick the same team twice, it is a automatic loss and strike against you

14. No entries will be accepted after 11:00 AM est. on Sunday September 10th

15. Reply to this thread and reserve your spot

16. Freak reserves the right to make any changes or judgement calls if need be
