Bears defense has been making plays all year. They do take on a Carolina team that is better with Andy Dalton starting. But they don’t have enough of a run game to keep the Bears off balance. Still think that Williams is getting better with each start. Look for Bears to win 27-17.

Before the season Cleveland was a solid 3 point favorite. The line has moved obviously because Jayden Daniels' hot start. But frankly I think the books have overreacted. I'll take the points and the Browns' good defense.

Padres ML (+120)

I like the Padres to take game 2 tonight. Had it not been for 1 pitch that resulted in a 3-run homerun, they likely would've won game 1. The Padres know they cannot lose this game and go down 0-2 in the 5-game series, if they want to have any chance of winning.

For the Padres they have Darvish who has been having a pretty good season. 3.31 ERA with a 1.07 WHIP. What sets him apart from Flaherty tonight, is Darvish's playoff experience. 58 IP and 11 games started. His playoff ERA is not great but it's more of an anomaly since his WHIP in the playoffs is 1.10. He also has playoff experience pitching in this stadium when he was with the Dodgers back in 2017 and the Padres in 2022. He wasn't particularly great in his last game, 5.1 IP, 3 H, 3ER, 3 BB, and 4 K. He should be well rested as he only threw 80 pitches, and it was 9 days ago. Darvish is 5-5 with a 2.27 ERA against the Dodgers in his career. He3 does have quite a bit of familiarity with the Dodgers, which I don't like since I think too much familiarity tends to benefit the hitters more. But, I can see the Padres start intentionally walking Ohtani instead of giving up another home run as he has been clearly hot all season.

For the Dodgers they have Flaherty on the mound, who has been having a pretty decent season himself. 13-7, 3.17 ERA, and a 1.07 WHIP. The reason I like the Padres a bit more in this game is because of Flaherty's limited post season experience. 25 IP with 4 games started and a 3.60 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. However, none of his post season experience has been with the Dodgers. Flaherty wasn't particularly great last game, it was still decent but was 11 days ago. I think the extended downtime, Flaherty won't come out as sharp as he needs to be going against Tatis, Machado, Bogaerts, Profar, etc.

I hesitate to take a side on the total here as both pitchers are on somewhat of a bounce back and the Padres are going to come out swinging since this is the most important game of the season for them. I like the Padres ML more as they cannot lose this game and they do have one of the best lineups money can buy, literally.
